Game Summary

     The Blue Angels played in an unusual game on this evening.  With regular starting pitcher #22 Sandi Schellenberg nowhere to be found, the Blue Angels were scrambling from the get go as #19 Michael McKenney filled in on the mound and the rest of the team tried to figure out new positional rotations.  Combined with two known late arrivals, the front half of this game was messy.  #15 Michael Lavender competently stepped in mid 2nd inning to assist with pitching.  The Blue Angels were down 18-1 after the top of the 5th inning was complete.  A big 8 run bottom of the 6th inning prevented a mercy loss and cut the deficit in half.  Meanwhile the Blue Angels' defense kept the opponents to 18 runs after 7 innings setting up a wild 8th and final inning.  The opponents would score 3 runs in the top half to push the score to 21-12.  The bottom of the inning started with the first two male batters scoring outs.  The next 10 batters would reach, some on karma induced errors, including a walk off winning base hit by #6 James Mahon to bring in #3 Jame Lee Hogan after she hit a triple.  An incredible finish to put the Blue Angels on top in the series 2-1.
