Game Summary

In the back end of a home and home, the Blue Angels came out early with a much better performance defensively. The Blue Angels sported a 3-2 advantage after 4 innings only to give up 13 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Blue Angels played the other 6 innings great, aided by a 'circus' play in the bottom of the 6th by #39 Brandon MacKay which seemed to irritate the batter and therefore please the Blue Angels. The opponents once again walked their way aboard far too many times for co-ed recreational softball and, again, pissed the umpire off to the advantage of the Blue Angels. A few bats for the Blue Angels came alive in the game. #4 Leila Paugh hit a couple of doubles while #11 Jessica Bredin and #13 Lisa Hynes each got on base twice with a hit and a walk each. A loss in the first game of the double header dropped the Blue Angels' record to 7-9 on the season.
