Game Summary

The Blue Angels pulled out a victory in dramatic fashion in a close 13-12 game. The score was back and forth all game long with the Blue Angels defending a 1 run lead into the bottom of the 7th and final inning. Pitcher #13 Lisa Hynes made it interesting, stranding the bases loaded, walking all 3 base runners. The game ended with a pop up to the back catcher #12 Laura Tober by a male hitter. It was as close as possible to a tie or worse but still getting the win. The defense was decent making the plays but not always the most efficient ones (growing pains). The offense was exceptional with 6 players batting 1.000%. #15 Michael Lavender hit his first home run of the season (first in 3 years), and his first ever real home run. #18 Matt Hogan smashed 2 balls for home run outs en route to an '0 for' performance. The Blue Angels' record is now 2-3 heading into a game against a win-less opponent.
