Game Summary

The Blue Angels competed against their first real challenge of the playoffs and played one of their best games of the season.  Even when errors were made, most of the time the Blue Angels still managed an out on the play.  The opponents did not get very many extra base hits which helped the Blue Angels strand many of their base runners.  On the offensive side for the Blue Angels, they got plenty of base hits when they counted and instead on a one run inning, the Blue Angels turned innings they scored within into multiple run innings. The game started with a strike out by #15 Michael Lavender and ended with a walk-off deep sac fly by #19 Michael McKenney.  McKenney hit 3 over the fence in this game but the last one was caught to prevent the home run out and allow the runners to advance once tagging.  #28 Darryl Palmer and #39 Brandon MacKay both kept their home run per game streaks alive.  The win keeps the Blue Angels undefeated in games they played in the playoffs and catapults them to first place to play the 4th place team "No Dice" in the semi-finals, a much easier route to finals.
