Game Summary

The Blue Angels had two chances to close out their semi-final series against "Booze On 1st" but they certainly did not want to allow the opponents to win Game 4 and have momentum into the fifth and deciding game.  The Blue Angels, away team, came out very flat and were down 15-1 after three innings.  The defense then shut down the opponents for three straight innings while the offense scored 2 runs in the top of the 4th innings and an epic 11 runs in the top of the 5th to close within one run.  The 11 run inning was capped off by a grand slam home run by #19 Michael McKenney followed up by a solo home run by #39 Brandon MacKay in the top of the 6th to tie the game, completing the comeback.  #1 Kacey Cherwinsk made another circus catch in left field during a 7th inning rally by the opponents. The Blue Angels went up by 4 runs at one point and were holding a tenuous 3 run lead after 8 complete innings but were 1 1/2 minutes shy of curfew and therefore had to play a 9th inning where the opponents tied the game without recording an out.  Then with 2 outs, a male runner at 2nd base and a male batter at the plate, #28 Darryl Palmer came up with a massive strike out to end the 9th inning, tie game.  Extra inning rules have the last out from the 9th inning go to second base for each team and then each team would start the extra inning with 1 out recorded.  The Blue Angels managed 2 runs in the extra inning and all they had to do was hold the opponents to 1 run or less.  The opponents managed that one run but no more as the Blue Angels closed out the game the hard way.  Everyone pitched in during the game, including taking walks at appropriate times to extend innings.  The win gives the Blue Angels a series win in the Semi-Finals (3 games to 1). They will move on to play "CC`s Dugout" in the finals.
