Game Summary

     After a few games against weaker opponents, the Blue Angels were tested against the 2nd place team as well as a terrible umpire.  The game did not start well for the Blue Angels who only scored 3 runs in the first 6 innings.  The defense for the Blue Angels only surrendered 10 runs in the first 7 inning, keeping it close for a late inning come back despite the umpires best effort to thwart the Blue Angels off.  Down 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning, #84 Myles Calvert notched his 2nd home run of the season to lead off the inning, bringing the deficit to only 2 runs and #82 Andrew Piluso came up with a game tying sac fly to force an extra inning.  International tie break rules had the last out of the 9th inning at 2nd base with 1 out to start the 10th inning.  Both teams would score that 1 run only and settled on a 11-11 final score.  Offensively, the Blue Angels leaned heavily on #45 Todd Skelton and #84 Myles Calvert who each made it on base all 5 plate appearances.  #19 Michael McKenney would get on base his first 3 at bats bring his streak to 18 straight hits.  The opponents defense was great forcing legit hits out the Blue Angels line up.  The female batters for the Blue Angels had a rare limited output, only scoring 3 runs, all with the use of pinch runners.  The Blue Angels did well to add a tie to their record of 13-6-1 on the season and now have a 3-1-1 record in July.
