Game Summary

The score at the end of this game didn't seem to represent the game on the field.  There appeared to be more than an average number of errors for the Blue Angels, especially after coming off a nearly perfect game defensively the game prior.  Fortunately for the Blue Angels, this opponent had the worst record in the division and did not capitalize on the errors made (especially after the 1st inning).  The opponents started the game off with a 6 run bottom of the first inning.  The Blue Angels then allowed only 3 more runs in the last 7 innings, tightening up the defense.  Offensively, the Blue Angels had one of their highest run totals of the year, however the hit count was certainly aided by an equally error prone opponent.  The female batters continue to impress, for both team really, including #5 Candice McKenney, who has clearly figured out her swing, crushing the ball and #4 Leila Paugh who found herself on base all 4 times, scoring 3 runs.  No batter for the Blue Angels notched less than 2 hits and only two batters did not score at least 1 run.  #8 Chris Herbert hit his 2nd home run of the season in the top of the 5th inning.  The win evens the Blue Angels' record at 4-4 on the season.
