Game Summary

     It's been a few years since the Blue Angels have been able to defeat the league champions 2 years running, Top Dawgs (aka Triples or Bombers), but with an explosion of offense, the Blue Angels held onto a 19-5 lead to mercy an, albeit, understaffed opponent.  The Blue Angels scored 9 runs in a bat around bottom of the 1st inning and 8 runs in an almost bat around 2nd inning.  As a minor let down, they were only able to score an additional 2 runs in their remaining four innings of offense.  Working on all cylinders was the Blue Angels' defense who only had one lack luster 4 run top of the 5 inning en route to a season low 5 runs allowed.  The ladies were stealing the show with some tight defense including a 'routine' fly ball made to look easy by #23 Sabrina Piluso (finally).  Offensively, there were many big games but none more than a team high 4 hits and 3 runs scored from #25 Theresa Brooks and a 5 RBI performance by #84 Myles Calvert.  #82 Andrew Piluso scored his 100th career run in the bottom of the 1st inning.  The win improves the Blue Angels' record to 7-5 overall and an impressive 5-1 record in June.
