Game Summary

• Back at Memorial #1 against a true top tier team; in perfect weather but still a wet field.
• The opponents score 3 and 2 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively while it took the Flaming Moe's until the top of the 4th inning to score their first runs to cut the lead to 5-3.
• The big blow came in the bottom of the 5th inning; a 5 run spot for the opponents to make the score 10-3.
• The teams traded a single run in the 7th inning.
• The Flaming Moe's score 2 runs in each of the 8th and 9th innings to close the gap to 11-8 but ultimately falling short for their 4th loss of the season.
• The Flaming Moe's bats were working well but, unfortunately, the opponents were good at catching and throwing and other defensive things.
• #29 Sharon Vandersar continues to tear it up with bat; a 4-4 night without a fielder's choice.
• #10 Doug Brascoupe accomplished similar numbers except required the aide of a fielder's choice to do so, however, on the mound, pitched a solid game surrendering a low hit/run total considering the opponent.
• On defense, the Flaming Moe's nearly made a few nifty flip plays at 2nd to no avail, requiring just a couple timely outs to keep the score closer.
• The Flaming Moe's defense only had one long inning, 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning, otherwise recorded four blank innings.
• The loss drops the Flaming Moe's record to 2-4 on the season and 2-2 in June.
