Game Summary

• The second game of the playoff round robin was made slightly easier when the opponents could only field 9 players and had to take an automatic out every 10th batter (not counted in the totals).
• The ManBearPigs lost the coin toss and drew the 'away' team.
• The top of the 1st inning began the same way as the first playoff game, a grand slam off the bat of #39 Brandon MacKay for his 2nd counted home run of the post season.
• Unfortunately, the ManBearPigs' defense was not at their best on this night and surrendered 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.
• The score was 6-4 after the ManBearPigs lost the 2nd inning 1-0, and after the ManBearPigs scored another 4 runs in the top of the 3rd inning, disaster occurred in the form of 9 runs by the opponents in the bottom half.
• The ManBearPigs' offense was persistent and won the 4th inning 4-0 to close the gap to 15-12.
• The opponents returned the favour in the 5th inning by winning it 4-0 and restoring a 7 run lead.
• The ManBearPigs were on fire with bats and tied the game in the top of the 6th inning with 7 runs and only allowed 1 run in the bottom half to make the score 20-19 for the opponents.
• The opponents doubled their lead with a 1-0 win of the 7th inning, setting the stage for a top of the 8th inning where the ManBearPigs required 2 runs to tie.
• Unfortunately, it was not to be and the ManBearPigs lost 21-19 to even their playoff record at 1-1.
• This game could have went either way, as the ManBearPigs gave up defensive errors in the double digits and hit into 2 line drive double plays.
• #5 Mike Frank turned an unassisted double play in the bottom of the first inning, accounting for the only 2 outs of the inning until the 10th batter was reached.
