Game Summary

• The ManBearPigs have had success against the first place team in the middle division.
• The opponents bats were limited on the small diamond at Plymouth Park.
• As the home team, the ManBearPigs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the 1st inning following a 2-out 3-run home run by #39 Brandon MacKay (5th counted of season).
• The teams tied the 2nd inning 1-1 and the opponents closed the gap to 5-3 after winning the 3rd inning 2-1.
• No runs were scored in either the 4th nor 5th inning.
• The opponents inched even closer by winning the 6th inning 1-0.
• After scoring 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning, the opponents held a 6-5 lead.
• The ManBearPigs answered back with 2 of their own to retake a 7-6 lead heading into the 8th and final inning.
• The opponents scored 1 run in the top of the 8th inning to tie the game.  It could have been more runs if not for #19 Michael McKenney making a magnificent diving catch of a pop up while at 1st base.
• In the bottom half, #46 Paul Eccles scored the go ahead run on a sac fly by #39 Brandon MacKay.
• At the time of the bottom half, it was not yet known that it would be the last inning, so when #5 Mike Frank hit a 2-run home run (his 5th counted) to go up by 3 runs (10-7), it was a bit of a relief.
• The game ended on time thanks to #29 Sharon Vandersar's long at bat which put us over the time limit by a few seconds.
• The opponents never scored more than 2 runs in an inning and were held to no runs 3 times.
• The ManBearPigs were able to turn 2 double plays throughout the game as well.
• The close win and awesome defensive game improves the ManBearPigs' record to 4-3 in June and 6-7-1 overall.
