Game Summary

• Played at 8:15 p.m. back at Memorial #1.
• The Baby Batters had lost to TFCO to complete their round robin at 1-3.
• TFCO was now 2-2 and OMG had finished 3-1 while the current opponent (We Got The Runs) sat at 2-1.
• At game time, it was not known what would be the tie breaker.  If it was head to head, the Baby Batters had beaten the ManBearPigs and therefore the ManBearPigs had to win Game #4.
• Given the opponents had already guaranteed their Sunday position, the ManBearPigs made the decision to play without courtesy swings on 3-0 counts and with 6 males and 4 females. This upset the opponents for reasons undefined.
• The ManBearPigs played every other game with 5 males and 5 females despite 5 of 6 different opponents playing with 6 males and 4 females.
• Whilst they ran their beaks at every opportunity, the ManBearPigs were taking a 12-1 lead over the sore opponents by the start of the bottom of the 7th inning. It was understandable why a team would be frustrated being held to 1 run for so long.
• The ManBearPigs had a chance to mercy the opponents in the bottom of the 6th inning but left a runner stranded inappropriately at 3rd base for the third time in the game.
• The opponents scored 4 runs in the bottom half of the 7th and final inning and, although it wasn't close, it felt like an eternity if you happened to be watching from the bench.
• The win sealed a Sunday birth by coming in a 3 way tie with a record of 2-2.
• By virtue of beating both of the other 2-2 teams, the ManBearPigs finished 2nd in the Pod and guaranteed themselves two Sunday games.
