Game Summary

  • ManBearPigs won vs. the Sloppy Seconds to advance to the Semi-Finals while the Jager Bombs lost vs. OMG for a bye to the Finals and therefore had to play in the Semi-Finals.
  • Played at Complex #2 at a scheduled 4:00 p.m. (but much delayed) and 'played' is used very loosely as the ManBearPigs were exhausted playing in their 8th game of the tournament.
  • The ManBearPigs scored their 3 runs in the top of the 2nd inning, tying it at the time.
  • The opponents scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd and 6th innings and were otherwise shut down by the ManBearPigs' defense.
  • The defense prevented this game from becoming embarrassing and many, but not all, of the ManBearPigs' players deserve a lot of credit for playing through the pain.
  • A loss eliminates the ManBearPigs, however a 3rd place finish meant a prize.
