Game Summary

The final game of the regular season was a good one for the Blue Angels who came out firing on all offensive cylinders while maintaining a par performance of defense resulting in a mercy win over a middle class opponent.  It was the first game of the season, regular season or otherwise, where #99 Sandi Schellenberg was unavailable to pitch due to a mysterious absence.  #19 Michael McKenneystepped up and delivered a no walk, 2 strike out performance, earning his first win of the season.  The Blue Angels gained runs at a steady pace throughout the game, which was a relatively close 7-4 lead for the Blue Angels after 3 inning of play.  The Blue Angels would then score 17 more runs in the next 5 innings including a 8-run 8th inning to seal the victory.  #8 Chris Herbert was the only batter to go yard for his 9th home run of the season in the top of the 5th inning while #19 Michael McKenney helped his own pitching effort out with 4 extra base hits as part of the only perfect on base percentage of the night.  The female batters for the Blue Angels had a great effort, accounting for 17 of 38 base runners including three 4-hit performances.  The game closed out the regular season for the Blue Angels with an astounding 25-1-1 record and ride a 10 game win streak into the playoffs.
