Game Summary

Played at 10:45 a.m. at Memorial #4, the winner of this game avoided a semi-final and went straight to finals.  A spot in this game was earned by going 3-0 in the preliminary round and the Blue Angels were in first, thus held home field advantage.  The game started of slowly for both the Blue Angels' bats and for the pitcher #99 Sandi Schellenberg, who walked a season high 4 batters.  Down 7-2 after the top of the 5th inning, the Blue Angels scored the inning capped 5 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning in part to a 2 run double by #39 Brandon MacKay and a 2-out clutch RBI singles by #82 Andrew Piluso, #9 Casey Perreault and #8 Chris Herbert.  After two scoreless innings, thanks in large to a laid out diving catch in right field by #8 Chris Herbert preventing 2 or 3 runs, this game was off to extras using the international tie breaker (last out of the previous inning goes to 2nd base with 1 out).  The opponents managed to score that run so the Blue Angels require to score at least one run to extend the game.  That runner placed at 2nd was #3 Jamie Lee Hogan who at the time was suffering from a sudden severe headache.  Another clutch hit by #82 Andrew Piluso and subsequent fielder's choice had the game tied at 8's with with 2 outs and a runner at 1st.  #8 Chris Herbert was 'intentionally' walked putting runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs.  With the game on her bat, #23 Sabrina Piluso drove a liner over the short stop's head winning the game in walk-off fashion.  A celebration happened at 1st base while #3 Jamie Lee Hogan lay vomiting on the grass (she would be just fine).
