Game Summary

After winning a tournament championship, the Blue Angels showed no signs of a hang over with a 8 inning mercy win over a top division opponent that had been tough to beat in the past.  The Blue Angels did find themselves down 7-5 after 4 innings but blew things wide open in the top of the 5th inning scoring 9 runs on 13 hits, including at least one hit from every player in the line up except #15 Michael Lavender.  Michael would hit his first home run of the season, continuing to swing a hot stick of late.  The Blue Angels would have an 8 run 7th inning as well putting the game well out of reach.  #7 Melissa Borowski found her stroke and was labeling the ball all evening while #84 Myles Calvert hit 2 home runs (1 for an out) en route to a perfect 5 hit 5 run night.  Every female batter had at least 2 hits with 5 female batters having 3 or more hits including a great 4 hit performance by #4 Leila Paugh.  Female hitting has played a large role in this year's success for the Blue Angels who now have a 22-1-1 season record with their 7th regular season win in a row.
