Game Summary

The Blue Angels did a good job of refocusing for Game #2 after a ridiculous win in Game #1.  This opponent was much tougher and will be tougher in the next 2 meetings as they were short handed on this night (only 3 males).  #82 Andrew Piluso took advantage of the 3 fielders the opponents had to put in the large outfield at Memorial #4, hitting 2 in the park home runs.  #8 Chris Herbert went 4 for 4 with a two game total of 10 for 10.  In this game, #39 Brandon MacKay achieved his 500th hit with the franchise and ended the day with 7 runs tallied.  During the double header, the Blue Angels fielded many different defenses.  Normal outfielders played in and vise versa, everyone performing admirably at the new positions.  The Blue Angels defense has sparkled this year, no matter the arrangement, allowing a miniscule 71 runs over the first 13 games (about 5.5 runs/game).  All the while scoring 225 runs (about 17.3 runs/game).  No wonder the Blue Angels are 12-0-1 with 8 straight wins.
