Game Summary

After another two rain outs and a ten day layoff, the Blue Angels took to the field for the second time this season.  The first inning run production continued and staked the Blue Angels out to another early lead. The score could have been more inflated had the Blue Angels not been burdened with two automatic outs due to the loss of players. The confusion that was the Blue Angels' batting order did not affect their defense as the Blue Angels kept the opponents to a measly 6 runs over 7 innings highlighted by a couple of unconventional double plays including a great catch in right field by #23 Sabrina Pilusoin the 2nd inning catching the runner at 3rd base leaving early.  Pitcher #99 Sandi Schellenberg battled the wind on this evening surrendering 5 base on balls rocketing her runs per game average to 3.0 after two games.  The opponents batting average does not reflect the amount of ground ball fielders choices that were made.  Offensively, #8 Chris Herbert jacked a moon shot in his 2nd at bat of the 1st inning. #9 Casey Perreault continued her torrid pace scoring twice more on 3 hits.  The Blue Angels start their season 2-0 with their second mercy win of the season.
