Game Summary

Game 2 went significantly better for the Blue Angels.  With their 4th mercy win of the season, the Blue Angels found their stride after a tie in Game 1.  If it were not for near dark conditions without lights, the score would have been less as the opponents doubled their runs and scored 3 in the last inning.  With the use of courtesy runners, which were not available in Game 1, #23 Sabrina Piluso and #99 Sandi Schellenberg scored 7 runs (1/3 of the team total) between them.  Those pinch runners #7 Melissa Borowski and #9 Casey Perreault did a marvelous job of getting around the bases in time to pick up a bat for their own spot in the batting order.  Pitcher #99 Sandi Schellenberg continues to be a key part of the team, allowing no walks again for the 3rd time this season.  The Blue Angels improve to 5-0-1 on the season and remain both, undefeated and league leaders.
