Game Summary
Game #2 was played at 11:30 a.m. and was done so during on and off light rain and significant wind. The Blue Angels managed the same offensive output as Game #1 in five less at bats and were heavily dependent on #84 Myles Calvert who tallied 5 RBIs on two inside the park home runs. Only a single Blue Angel batter was under 0.500 in the game. Unfortunately, unlike in Game #1, 12 runs wasn't enough to overcome the opponents who walked 10 times over 5 innings, 7 times in the last 2 inning. Despite decent defense by the Blue Angels, including a double play which angered the opponents in the bottom of the 1st inning by #39 Brandon MacKay, the opponents managed to score max runs (5) in three innings. The opponents had a pregame huddle and chant and also a rally huddle mid game when they found themselves down 11-7 after 3 innings. Apparently the World Series of Softball was the prize they were after. Game #2 was a disappointing loss as the Blue Angels were handling a tournament finalist well before they decided to walk their way to victory. The Blue Angels' tournament record now stands at 1-1.
